As we get ready to release our anniversary issue and celebrate our 50th issue, the Tropics Magazine’s team is very excited to release its February2014 issue, the first of its kind: Double issues as you have never seen before.

February is the month when human thoughts turn out to lust and/or love and we are about to just do that for our readers. Valentine’s Day, as dictated by various cards companies, candy-makers, jewelers, and florists, is a holiday to celebrate one’s ability to purchase the affection of one’s object of desire, and/or willingness to be purchased. Depending on the traditions you hold dear to your heart, it may also be the holiday to celebrate to reflect on your loved life and (maybe) reflect on the past experiences and learn from them.

As Tropics magazine, it is indeed a new season, and it’s the time to show our readers how much we love them. In this issue, we are bringing you fresh stories as usual, Ghana’s Top Model Belinda Baidoo, our cover girl’s story takes us through the journey of a woman who has dared to become who she is today: a Model, a Mother and a global Leader. I am sure she will be a great inspiration to our readers, during this month, in particular, as we are emphasizing on the contributions made by women in our societies. Belinda Baidoo, our Tropics Personality of the Month, is a beautiful, smart and brave woman living a life of purpose; she is our Tropics Woman of the Month. Read more in her interview.

We attended few events around the world and we so love the talent of Cameroonian Designer, Imane Ayissi, who recently launched his new collection in Paris. Off course, Tropics Magazine attended the event and you may admire the beautiful silhouettes in our French issue. You just keep paging through this issue until the end and may you enjoy this entire issue and do not forget to spread the word about it.

Do check in for our anniversary edition this March 2014; I am sure we will be serving you with top notch information that will delight you and your entourage! Finally, I would like to congratulate our former cover star, Mrs. Bisila Bokoko, for her nomination at the 2014 edition of the “Color of Beauty” awards in New York. On a personal note, I would also like to close this note by thanking the committee of the Women4Africa awards who has nominated me as one of the finalists in the “International Media Women” category along with other 4 remarkable women. It is a great honour for me to be part of it and to share their success as well. Folks in the UK can start booking their tickets for the event if they don’t want to miss this!

From our team to you, we wish you the happiest and romantic holidays, and a very productive month.

Keep paving the way forward!
